Contributor Michelle Pronovost has a Master of Arts in Fashion and Textile Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her thesis examines the subcultural style of the riot grrrl movement. As part of her research, Michelle received a 2013 Mary Lily grant to study the zine collection at Duke University’s Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture. Michelle earned her MLIS in 2005. She currently works at NYU’s Digital Studio as a video specialist, and is developing a series of historical fashion vlogs for her personal Youtube channel. She also contributes metadata to the portfolio database at Art + Commerce, an agency representing artists in the fashion industry.
