Contributor Olga Mitterfellner is a Russian-Austrian contributor who currently works as a Professor of Fashion Management at the Mediadesign Hochschule München, a university of applied arts in Munich, Germany. She teaches various theoretical and practical subjects for the BA in Fashion Management, such as advertising psychology, brand management, public relations, costume history and design short courses.
Olga was awarded a BFA in Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing from the Regent’s University of London in 2002 and then went on to complete an MA in Design for Textile Futures from Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design in London, graduating in 2004.
Since then, Olga has run her own small fashion and arts label called “fuselage”. She also worked on numerous design projects, in fashion marketing and as a trend journalist, and has taught at the prestigious Sevenoaks School in Kent where she was an artist-in-residence. In 2015, Olga was granted an Associateship from the International Textile institute which is based in the UK.
She is a member of the British Sociological Association and the Association of Dress Historians.
Currently she is writing an academic book on fashion brand marketing and communication to be published in 2017.
