Contributor Lisa Santandrea

Lisa Santandrea writes bi-weekly about fashion anarchists for Worn Through

She earned her master’s degree at NYU’s Visual Culture: Costume Studies program, where she now teaches Costume History I (1500-1800). She also instructs design students in the pantheon of fashion at Parsons School of Design.

Lisa has worked in research at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and recently presented research on Dorothy Parker at the Drexel University “Fashion in Fiction: The Dark Side” conference.

In addition to a fascination with the decadence of 18th century culture and fashion, Lisa has an obsession with 1930s films and 1920s New York.
