Kelly Gage writes bi-weekly about teaching fashion.

Kelly received her doctorate from the University of Minnesota in 2008. Her research focus centers on socio-cultural aspects of clothing with particular attention to AfroBrazilian Slave dress.

Currently an Assistant Professor at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN, Kelly teaches history of dress and retail merchandising classes. In addition to her academic career Kelly sits on the Brazilian board of World Childhood foundation.
