New Research Conference

Where: The University of Brighton, Grand Parade: City Campus (near the Royal Pavillion), Brighton, United Kingdom

Submission Guidelines: Submissions are due by 1 October 2016. Please submit your proposal for a fifteen–minute paper presentation to as a .doc or .docx file (saved as firstname_lastname) that includes a descriptive paper title, a 200–word abstract, a 100–word biography, and contact information. Notification of the outcome will be advised by e-mail on or before 10 October 2016.

The Association of Dress Historians (ADH) invites you to submit a paper proposal to present at our annual New Research Conference. The ADH supports and promotes the study and professional practice of dress and textile history. The ADH welcomes innovative, interdisciplinary, and critical research papers or those that add to or challenge established studies. In particular, the ADH would like to hear from:

  • Postgraduate students who are researching a dissertation or thesis
  • Curators who wish to discuss recent or future exhibitions
  • Independent researchers embarking upon new projects
