This autumn, London’s Somerset House presents a retrospective exhibition of fashion photographer Tim Walker’s works of the past decade. The exhibition features images from international fashion and general interest magazines alongside an array of Tim’s signature props and settings.
It has been my good fortune and great pleasure to work as an art department assistant on a few shoots with Tim Walker via my work with art director and set designer Simon Costin. Next week, under the London Fashion Umbrella I will bring you some anecdotes and reflections on being behind the scenes in Tim Walker’s universe. This week, I thought you might like to have a peek at the exhibition catalog if you haven’t already ordered yourself one.
This youtube video by Kogleron is a clever way to share picture books online, and takes you through the book page by page for an experience that is both informative and strangely surreal – kind of like a Tim Walker photograph.
