A Festival: Fashion in Film

In conjunction with fashion week, Vanity Fair, the Museum of Arts and Design and the Film Society kick off “Fashion in Film” this Friday, September 9. Screenings, panel discussions and receptions will showcase “a series of innovative cinematic moments that have expectedly and unexpectedly influenced the worlds of style and fashion.”

Screenings include Qui Êtes-Vous, Polly Magoo?, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and a premier of the documentary Rick, Michele, and Scarlett, profiling Rick Owens and Michele Lamy.

On Saturday, festival co-curator Simon Doonan will moderate a panel discussion titled: “Spotlight On Fashion Innovation: Creative Inspiration From Cinema.”
