Caught on Film: A Night Out (1940s)

After three years of book reviews, exhibition reviews, film and fashion history articles, today marks my last post for Worn Through. My first article for Worn Through, highlighting books on Paris, Africa, London and Hollywood, was published in April of 2008, and I can’t believe how the time has flown by. I’ve so enjoyed collaborating and developing ideas and projects with the other contributors. I’ve especially enjoyed working with Monica Sklar, and want to thank her for allowing me to join her for so long in this venture.

In order to focus more on the Costume Society of America (and my pending Western region Presidency in 2012), my own publication endeavors and personal projects, I’ve decided it’s time to step back from Worn Through to open up some time. I plan to continue writing on these and related topics at my own fashion history blog. Of course, I’ll continue to read Worn Through as it develops and grows.  Thanks to all the contributors, readers and comment-ers for creating such a unique scholarly community!
