New for the Holidays: Underwear, Carnaby Street, Flato Jewelry and Edith Head

My desk is quite literally over-flowing with new, marvelous books available just in time for Holiday shopping. The books below are large-format, well-illustrated hardcovers from reputable publishers and authorities. Sadly, I don’t have quite enough band-width to be able read and review all of these just now (stay-tuned, they may get full reviews later on) but, they come from reputable sources and are likely to be a good addition to any fashion history enthusiasts library.

Underwear: Fashion in Detail by Eleri Lynn from  V & A Publishing (November 1, 2010).

(Check out this cool video from the V & A’s website too)

Boutique London: King’s Road to Carnaby Street By Richard Lester from ACC Editions (October 16, 2010).

Paul Flato: Jeweler to the Stars By Elizabeth Irvine Bray from Antique Collectors’ Club (November 16, 2010).

Edith Head: The Fifty-Year Career of Hollywood’s Greatest Costume Designer By Jay Jorgensen from Running Press (October 5, 2010).
