		<description>Sounds like they want a jack of all trades....just being able to show up and do something that looks like  design/drape and pattern-making.....but since the add is from FIT it tends to devalue their standard.  Probably the add was written by some one in the help wanted department.</description>

I&#039;m not suggesting designers don&#039;t or can&#039;t make patterns but if one wouldn&#039;t hire a pattern maker to teach fashion design -even tho they can do it and have done it however minimally- why would one hire a designer to teach pattern making?</description>
