Probably the add was written by some one in the help wanted department. Candidates must have earned at least an Associate Degree, and must have a minimum of 6 years working experience in the Fashion Industry as a designer with hands on experience in draping and flat pattern making.

I’m not suggesting designers don’t or can’t make patterns but if one wouldn’t hire a pattern maker to teach fashion design -even tho they can do it and have done it however minimally- why would one hire a designer to teach pattern making?
