Museum of the City of New York (part 2)

Continuing with the recap of my trip to New York in January, I wanted to let you know about some wonderful textiles on exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York. Their exhibit New York Interiors (1690-1906) included some wonderful embroidery examples. Several marvelous portraits of ladies in clothing of the day as well as mannequins in appropriate attire, helped to bring the exhibition to life. I’ve included some photos below.
